Key Rituals and Celebrations
Sthapana (Installation): A clay idol of Lord Ganesha is placed on a clean platform or decorated altar.
Pran Pratishtha: The idol is ceremonially invoked with mantras and rituals to invite the deity into the idol.
Shodashopachara Puja: Sixteen forms of traditional offerings including flowers, incense, sweets (especially modaks), and fruits are made to Lord Ganesha.
Aarti: Devotional songs are sung with lamps, usually in the morning and evening.
Visarjan: After one or more days of worship, the idol is immersed in water, symbolizing a send-off while requesting Ganesha to return next year
